Marble Double Vanity Bathroom in Wheat Ridge
About This Project
This Wheat Ridge bathroom renovation involved tiling the full vanity wall in large-format white marble tile with natural gray veining. The marble was selected and laid with attention to vein matching, so the pattern flows across tile seams rather than stopping and restarting at each joint. Marble requires sealing before grouting to prevent grout from staining the stone, and the grout color was matched closely to the marble background to keep the joints from reading as a grid. The brushed gold fixtures and oval mirrors were installed by others; we coordinated tile layout to ensure the mirrors centered over the tile field cleanly.
What We Did
- Prepared and primed the wall substrate for large-format tile
- Sorted marble tiles for vein continuity before setting
- Set tile with full-coverage thinset, sealed before grouting
- Applied matching grout; caulked all corners and transitions
